Bring the whole family to a special event that includes The Manger Project and Gingerbread Creations into one event. We will provide a hot chocolate bar and family photo booth to make the event even more memorable.
The Manger Project is a one-of-a-kind annual Christmas tradition that helps families focus on the true meaning of Christmas while building a wooden manger. This hands-on experience gives parents a chance to teach their kids hard work, perseverance and most importantly, why the manger (God coming to earth as a baby) is so important to their faith. Families set the manger they built either in front of their Christmas tree or in front of their house as a visual reminder of what Christmas is all about. After Christmas, families turn the manger into a gift basket by filling it with donations and taking it to a local women’s shelter, crisis pregnancy center, food bank, etc. Or families can bring their manger back to our church and we will donate for them. Next year you do it all over again.
Gingerbread Creations is a chance for families to slow down amidst the holiday frenzy and enjoy meaningful moments with their children while working on cookie and candy structures. This event is centered around two things—families and simplicity. We celebrate the gift of family by creating an environment where people can sit around the table and simply enjoy being in each other’s company while working on a fun project together.
Each person registered for the event will receive one Manger Project kit with instructions and one Gingerbread Creations kit.
